What are CPC, CPM, CPA, CTR, and RPM?

What is CPC, CPM, CPA, CTR, RPM in Adsense?

CPC

CPC = Cost per Click

A click on an ad is a CPC. In Google Adsense, CPC is the most well-known and used word. This is how much money one makes from their YouTube, App, and Website. Advertisers pay a different amount of money for each keyword on a website. When an ad in Adsense is clicked on, the advertiser who ran the ad is taken to the advertiser's website and can be told to do what needs to be done there.

CPM

CPM = Cost per Mile (or) Cost per Thousand

In Roman letters, the word M in CPM stands for the number 1000. Cost per thousand is another name for CPM. CPM is the amount that advertisers pay publishers for every 1000 ads that are seen on Adsense.

How to Measure CPM:

CPM = Total amount spent / Total Impressions × 1000

Example:

If an ad costs $100 and 10,000 people see it, the cost per thousand impressions (CPM) for the publisher is $10.

CPA

CPA = Cost per Action (or) Cost per Acquisition

CPA is the action that makes the advertiser money, such as when the user clicks on the ad and buys the product on the advertiser's website, when the user logs in, or when the advertiser sells any service, such as a download, insurance, etc. This CPA can help Publisher make more money from Adsense.

CTR

CTR = Click through Rate

Google Adsense uses CTR to figure out how many clicks each view gets. Most YouTubers and website owners have trouble with this CTR. Why Adsense Account was turned off before when CTR was more than 15%? But now, in 2022, Google has made a lot of changes. If the CTR is high, they take the money from Invalid Traffic. And on certain days, they stop running the ad. If you have 15% CTR from different places, you shouldn't have any problems.

RPM

RPM = Revenue per Mile (or) Revenue per Thousand

Rpm is a unit of measurement used to find out how well a website works. RPM shows how much money was made for every 1000 page views. RPM will be higher or lower based on the CPC and CTR. The higher the CPC the more elevated the RPM. The RPM goes down as the CPC goes down.
